Day 6 in the PICU

Got in around 8:15 today, my mom stayed by her side last night.
They decreased her oxygen to .5 liter from 2 liters last night.
She said she would wake and cry, and my mom would help her go back to sleep.
A PICU doctor came in and talked to us about Kristina having problem similar to a stroke.
That would explain her not talking, using her right hand/arm, and her staring more than normal.
It probably happened when she was on the heart/lung bypass machine, with lack of blood to a group of small capillaries (watershed area).
One good note is that the Neurologist hadn't noticed any issues overnight from remote access
They want to get her downstairs to get an MRI done if the sedation team can fit her in, if they can't it will be Tuesday before we know anything.
They want to also get in a CT Scan at 5:00pm, no sedation neccesory.
This morning she was awake and way more responsive to us, watching Toy Story, giggling, and being more like the old Kristina we all know.
The x-ray has shown an almost clear right lung now, (tube #1 has 120cc & tube #2 has 30cc), great!
