Kristina Update:
We had a follow-up appointment with the neurologist (Dr. Alsayouf) today, Kristina had a Electroencephalography (EEG) November 22 and he thought everything looked normal.
He decided to take Kristina off the Keppra (Levetiracetam is an anti-seizure medicine) all-together, which is what we have been hoping for.
The problem with Keppra is it makes Kristina agitated, nervous, and instantly angry sometimes, along with a list of 20 other nasty side effects.
We need to slowly wean her off of it for the next couple of weeks.
She has gotten so much better in the last few months, she sees an occupational and physical therapist twice a week in Newton. They are concentrating on her Left hand and walking up stairs better.
She is now slightly heavier than Nicole at 25 lbs.
