Tuesday at 11:00AM Kristina was taken to ICU to undergo a 3 hour heart surgery, it proved to be a much longer ordeal than first thought. Due to her small size the 3.5mm Gortex Bypass Shunt was too big, they lost blood pressure upon closing and had to reopen her chest and get her heart beating again. They clamped down the shunt to 3.25 to help keep her blood pressure and oxygenation where it needs to be.
This also creates another clotting point for the future, which half an aspirin should help with.
Kristina was stabilized by around 7:00PM at night. We knew at this point things were not going as easily as we hoped and we were in for a emotional roller coaster ride.

Due to the red & blue blood mixing her blood oxygen will be around 75% of a normal baby, which is fine for an infant.

In the future she will require two more surgeries to correct the missing Tricuspid valve.
